We All Want A Yellow Submarine

Once I'm absolutely sure that saying "Shazam!" isn't actually going to work -- I mean, you never know, right? -- I'll enroll myself in spy school, or at least stop by one of those spy shops at the mall to pick up some sneaky spy-tech.
One thing I'm sure the mall store won't have in stock is this ScubaCraft amphibious speedboat. Yes, it's absolutely real, dabblers. I can see Drew Carey giving it away to the next contestant on The Price is Right, can't you?
The ScubaCraft's top speed is 50mph, and thanks to its trimaran hull, it can dive underwater to around 100 feet. Its a veritable yellow submarine, mini-sized, and as the manufacturers are sure to warn, it's non-oxygenated.
Which means the crew of one better wear a scuba tank, or it's going to be a one-way trip. Some of the ScubaCraft's other features are as follows:

  • Advanced twin tunnel hull
  • Intuitive manual dive controls
  • ADC (Automated Depth control)
  • Surface VHF radio and underwater communications
  • Location equipment: SMB pod, EPIRB and navigation lights
  • Onboard GPS and dive computer
  • Manually activated dive procedure
  • Onboard air supply with reserve
  • Integrated storage and equipment racks
  • Multiple dive capability

But that's not all! The amphibious speedboat in yellow is powered by a jet propulsion system (for attaining those breakneck speeds I've mentioned), underwater communications and surface VHF radio, as well as its own reserve air supply just in case the scuba tank craps out while you're in stealth mode.

So how much should you tell Drew this baby costs? It's a very affordable $164,000, in case you're wondering, and is available either behind Door Number Two, or on the manufacturer's website here.
Thanks to Hardware Sphere for turning me into Spy Boy.

NewsFLASH Time!
We've been in desperate need of the next NewsFLASH. Dabblers. Our contest ends this Sunday night, so expect at least one more clue before they're all pulled off the blog Monday morning. Be sure to write this one down, find the answer, because n you never know -- you might find yourself reading Flash:Rebirth #5 very soon! All the info on Flash Caption Contest, of course, can be found on the October 4th blog. Good luck!
Q: If Lois Lane's hometown of METROPOLIS were to be correctly placed on a US map, the Daily Planet newspaper would be published in this US state. What is it? ________________
