Abbracadabbling's friends at Gizmodo have discovered the hidden location of R2-D2 in JJ Abrams' Star Trek XI. We've got a cropped image of it here: you can just make out little R2 as he floats in space above the wreckage from one of the film's starship battles.
George Lucas' crafty crew at Industrial Light + Magic did the special effects on Star Trek, and they've made it a habit of sneaking in Star Wars' iconic droid into the films they work on. (They did it in Transformers 2, too!)
