Just For Fun: Batman's Other Secret Origin

Batman debuted in 1939's Detective Comics #27, although his secret origin wasn't revealed until Detective Comics#33. That's when the world first learned the legendary story:
Young Bruce Wayne, the son of Billionaire doctor and industrialist Thomas Wayne, his wife Martha, and their happy eight-year old son Bruce are returning home from a movie. A small-time hood named Joe Chill robs them at gunpoint in a dark alley way, then senselessly murders them both as Bruce looks on. Left alone with their bodies, Bruce swears an oath to rid Gotham City of its criminal element, and begins years of physical and mental training in preparation. Upon realizing that "criminals are a cowardly and superstitious lot," he knows the best weapon against crime is fear. Taking inspiration from a bat which flies through an open window, Bruce forges a new persona and wages his war on crime as The Batman.
Pretty much what everybody knows. What's not as known is that there were actually two stories - one written for the kids, and then the real one. We'll let you figure it out... just for fun.
How kids think it happened...
...and the way s%it really went down:
